Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2025, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Linda Joyce Bond Barnhill, 82, of Winona, who died on Monday, Jan. 12, in Vaiden. Burial followed in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Carroll County. The Rev. Reidis Nash officiated the chapel service and the Rev. Billy Little officiated the graveside service. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday, Jan. 15, at Oliver Funeral Home.

Carol was born on May 21, 1942, in Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lewis and the late Ruby Haley Walker. She spent most of her working life in the hair industry as a toupee maker and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son, David, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Greenwood for Nancy Kimes McCurdy, 80, of Carroll County, who died on Saturday, Dec. 27. The family received visitors beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the church.
Nancy was born on Feb. 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin “T.E.” and the late Mary Wachter Kimes. In 1960, she met the love of her life, Robert Andrew McCurdy, out on Money Road. They were married soon after and enjoyed a long and loving marriage of 62 years.
