A Tallulah man has been charged with aggravated arson following a fire at an apartment on South Elm Street, according to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal.
The Tallulah Fire Department responded at about 7:22 p.m. on March 11 to an apartment fire in the 300 block of South Elm Street in Tallulah. Following the incident, the fire department requested the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal to investigate the fire.
An investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was set in one of the bedrooms. Authorities identified the suspect as 45-year-old Leslie Jackson of Tallulah.
Jackson was charged with aggravated arson. No injuries were reported.
