Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Kathy Loftin Permenter, 68, of Starkville, formerly of Vaiden, who died on Friday, Dec. 26, in Jackson. Burial followed in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. David Cain officiated and was assisted by Mr. Tally Noah. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home.
Her parents, Doc and Laura Loftin; two sisters, Reida Bouchillon and Reba Summers, and her beloved son, Derrick “Bobo” Stewart, preceded Kathy in death.

Margaret was born on May 13, 1951, in Winona, the daughter of the late John D. “Skeet” Kendrick and the late Betty Jean Kendrick. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Trent “Cuz” Leverette, preceded Margaret in death.
