He was 59 years old. Dr. Joey Faulk officiated. Family and friends gathered one hour prior to the service on Friday, Jan. 30, at McKibben and Guinn.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, in Elliott Baptist Church Cemetery for Mrs. Lovie Harris Carter, 89, of Elliott, who died on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at her residence. Pastor Michael Payton officiated.
Lovie was born on Sept. 28, 1936, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the daughter of the late Rich and the late Lennie Harris. She worked faithfully for many years as a nurse’s aide and later as a school bus driver in Rolling Fork. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and watching “Gunsmoke.”

Keith was born on Jan. 29, 1944, in Lansing, Mich., the son of the late Earl Whipple and the late Ruby Lindaur Whipple. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He spent his career in sales in the food industry.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County for Mrs. Thelma Jean Bailey Inman Winters, 84, of Grenada, who died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Jackson. Pastor John Staszefski officiated. All family and friends were welcome to attend.
Thelma was the former cook at Providence Assisted Living and retired from Pennaco Hosiery Mill.
Her parents, Wilton and Ollie Tribble Bailey, and her siblings: Dalton, Guy, James Lee, Wilton Jr. and Mary, preceded Thelma in death.

Carol was born on May 21, 1942, in Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lewis and the late Ruby Haley Walker. She spent most of her working life in the hair industry as a toupee maker and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son, David, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy was born on Feb. 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin “T.E.” and the late Mary Wachter Kimes. In 1960, she met the love of her life, Robert Andrew McCurdy, out on Money Road. They were married soon after and enjoyed a long and loving marriage of 62 years.
