Services were held Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Singleton Springs Cemetery.

According to Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton, the deceased has been identified as Demetric Bryant, 25, of Indianola. Burton said that his body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving the U.S. Marshal Service that occurred Monday morning at a residence on Mill Street in Indianola.
Agents with the U.S. Marshal Service were attempting to serve a warrant for rape on a subject at a residence in Indianola. Upon arrival to the residence, the suspect displayed a weapon toward the agents. An agent then discharged his weapon striking the suspect, causing fatal injury. Agents involved did not sustain any serious physical injuries.

Alicia Robinson works behind the scenes at the Tallulah Police Department, serving as dispatcher, administrator and municipal court clerk for the city.
At the Tallulah Police Department, much of the daily work happens behind the scenes.
Alicia Robinson serves as dispatcher, administrator and clerk of court for the city’s municipal court system. A native of the area, she was born in Mississippi and raised in Tallulah.
“Well, I dispatch. I also am the administrator and I'm also the clerk with the court, municipal court system,” Robinson said.
Her responsibilities span emergency communications, court coordination and administrative oversight.
