The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Tallulah on the morning of Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, with assistance from Delta Marshall, the Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement officials took Percy Blair Jr. and Audreale Gray into custody during the operation, the sheriff’s office said. Children who were inside the residence were released to family members before the search began.
During the search, deputies located suspected narcotics and weapons inside the home, including firearms that had been altered to function as a machine gun. Investigators also recovered cash that officials said was derived from narcotics sales.
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies seized 15 pounds of marijuana, a plastic bag containing a crushed mixture of illegal narcotics mixed with fentanyl, and other illegal drugs.
Madison Parish Sheriff Chad Ezell addressed the operation in a statement.
“You take someone selling that much and using illegal weapons to protect their illegal activities. Add in deadly fentanyl and small children in the same home. That is a tragedy waiting to happen,” Ezell said.
Tallulah Interim Mayor Yvonne Lewis also commented on the operation.
“I applaud the efforts of the Madison Parish Sheriff Department and the Franklin and Tensas Parish Sheriff Departments for their work on this seizure of illegal drugs and guns in Tallulah,” Lewis said. “Whenever law enforcement from different agencies can work together to ensure the safety of the citizens of Madison Parish, it’s always a win-win situation. I cannot begin to imagine how much destruction those drugs would have caused if they had made it to the streets of Tallulah.”
Lewis said the seizure of the modified weapons ensured they could not be used to harm residents.
“I continue to support law enforcement in their actions and I am thankful for their diligence to our community,” she said.
