One man is dead and another is facing murder charges after a shooting Friday morning in Tallulah.
According to information from the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting Friday morning at an abandoned home located at 904 Holt Street. Upon arrival, deputies found a black male with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. MSPO officials said the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
MPSO said the investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Camron Hicks, who is believed to have been staying in Tallulah for a yet-to-be-determined amount of time. MPSO said the investigation pointed to Hicks allegedly firing the weapon following a verbal altercation with the victim.
Hicks was booked into the Madison Parish Jail on charges of second degree murder.
