Forty Troopers with the Louisiana Army National Guard’s 2nd Squadron, 108th Cavalry Regiment, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team conduct basic Army Warrior Tasks, such as communications, land navigation, weapons disassembly, reassembly and functions check and a written test on heraldry during the unit’s annual spur ride at Camp Minden in Minden, Louisiana, on Aug. 12, 2023. German officer Maj. Andreas Devers, trained with the Louisiana National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, during their two-week annual training June 2023. Devers is one of multiple officers participating the Military Reserve Exchange Program, which is a Department of Defense Program meant to provide National Guard and Reserve Soldiers the opportunity to train with similar units and enhance Soldiers’ ability to work and communicate with each other.
