Madison Parish E-911 Director Cynthia Machen said her office is once again preparing for a hurricane season that is projected to be busier than normal in 2022.
In 2021, 21 named storms occurred, the third most in recorded history, with seven turning into hurricanes - four of which were categorized as major storms.
