The Delhi Charter School Gators and Lady Gators each fell in games versus Rayville Friday night in Delhi.
The Lady Gators found itself facing a large first-quarter deficit, trailing the Lady Hornets 23-3 heading into the second period. The Lady Hornets added to the lead in the second period and took a huge, 43-7 advantage into the halftime break.
The Lady Gators defense stiffened in the third period, allowing only 7 points, but only mustered 4 offensively and trailed 50-11 heading into the final quarter. In the fourth, DCS added 6 points, but gave up 20 en route to a 70-17 loss.
The boys varsity Gators fared no better, dropping a 77-37 contest to the Hornets.
Both teams will take a 7-10 record into matchups with Beekman Charter School Tuesday on the road. The Lady Gators are scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m., with the boys varsity squad following.
