Two Tallulah residents were involved in a shooting incident Sunday at the Walmart location in Vicksburg, leaving one wounded and another in custody in Madison Parish.
According to information from the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Tonya G. Robinson was taken into custody for the shooting after turning herself in to sheriff’s deputies in the hours following the incident.
According to published reports, the victim was the daughter of the intended target and was taken to University Medical Center for treatment for what was expected to be non-life threatening injuries.
Walmart closed the store for several hours following the incident. More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
