President Sharon Jackson called the regular board meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

President Sharon Jackson added (2) items to go into executive session to discuss a parent concern and discussion of bullying in the schools. On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave item (h) was added to the agenda. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Presley and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave, the board voted to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Presley, to present item(b) to approve the bills for payment. On motion of Mrs. Presley and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave the board approved the bills for payment. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave, the board presented item (c) to approve the minutes. On motion of Mrs. Hargrave and seconded by Reverend Hamilton the board voted to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of October 17, 2022, and Special Board Meeting of October 31, 2022. Motion carried.
On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Reverend Hamilton, to present item (d) approval for Mrs. Debbie Commings to attend the 21st CCLC Beyond School Hours Conference held in Orlando, FL 2/8-2/12/2023. On motion of Mrs. Presley and seconded by Reverend Hamilton the board voted to approve for Mrs. Debbie Commings to attend the 21st CCLC Beyond School Hours Conference held in Orlando, FL 2/8-2/12/2023. Motion carried.
On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave to present item (e) consider proposal for roofing only for Madison Middle School and Madison High School. On motion of Mr. Sims to amend item (e) consider to bid for roofing repairs at Madison Middle School and Madison High School. On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Mrs. Presley to consider bid for roofing repairs at Madison Middle School and Madison High School. Motion carried.
On motion of Ms. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Sims to present item (f) approval of job descriptions for long-term substitute teacher(floater) and Campus Security personnel. On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave to amend item (f) as items f(a) approval of job descriptions for long-term substitute teacher(floater) and f (b) approval of job description campus security personnel. On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Rev. Hamilton to approve the job description and salary for the long-term substitute. Motion carried. On motion of Mr. Sims and seconded by Rev. Hamilton to approve job description of campus security personnel. On motion of Mrs. Hargrave and seconded by Rev. Hamilton to approve job description of campus security personnel. Mr. Sims and Mrs. Presley opposed. Motion carried.
On motion on Mrs. Presley and seconded by Mr. Dixon to present item (g) discussion of alleged deficit for the budget ($399,067) and deficit of Title 1 ($120,000). Motion carried.
