President Rev.Oscar Hamilton called the regular board meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

On motion of Ms. Johnson and seconded by Reverend Fountain, to present item(b) to approve the bills for payment. Motion carried.
On motion of Ms. Johnson and seconded by Reverend Fountain, the board presented item (c) to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of November 14, 2022, Special Board Meeting of December 6,2022, Regular Board Meeting of December 19, 2022, and Special Board Meeting of January 9, 2022.Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Ms. Crawford, to present item (d) consider adopting the local school board resolution declaring January as School Board Recognition month. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mrs. Gultery to present item (e) consider adopting the LSBA Code of Conduct. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mr. Wilson, to present item (f) consider approving $150.00 per teacher allotment. Motion carried.
On motion on Ms. Crawford and seconded by Reverend Fountain to present item (g) Consider to approve Instructional Coordinator Ms. Andrea Ambrew to attend the 2023 National Conference on Science Education held on March 22-25,2023 in Atlanta.GA. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mr. Wilson to present item (h) consider to approve open bid for the emergency roof repairs and replacement at Madison Middle and Madison High School. Motion carried.
