President Oscar Hamilton called the regular board meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

President Oscar Hamilton asked to delete item(h) Consider contract for new Accounting Firm and added item (i)Consider Madison Middle to travel to Memphis, Tn to visit the National Civil Rights Museum to the agenda. Motion carried.
On the motion of Ms. Johnson and seconded by Ms. Hamilton, the board voted to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave, the board approved the bills for payment. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Ms. Hamilton, the board voted to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of January 17, 2023. Motion carried.
Item (d) Presentation from R.L. Frazier from the Extension Office update on the parish 4-h program.
Item (e) Presentation of District Updates came from Superintendent Dr. Charlie Butler, Jr and Ms. Regina Alexander Literacy Coordinator.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item (f) Consider shredding old documents from the year 2000 on back. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Mrs. Gultery the board approved item (g) Consider increasing Superintendent travel amount. Motion carried.
The board voted to approve item (h) Consider proposed Standing Committees appointees for 2023.Motion carried.
On motion of Reverend Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item(i) Consider Madison Middle to travel to Memphis, Tn to visit the National Civil Rights Museum with bus. Motion carried.
