Applications are being accepted for the position of OPERATOR with the Madison Parish Police Jury - Public Works Department. The individual would be responsible for the performance of skilled maintenance and construction work involving the operation of specialized equipment on track or rubber tires i.e.. motor grader, trackhoe, dozer , and/or backhoe
The applicant must have the following personal assets:
(1) knowledge of principles and practices of operating and servicing specialized construction and maintenance equipment; (2) knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing automotive equipment and safety precautions necessary for the proper operation of varied construction and maintenance equipment; (3) physical strength, ability sufficient to do strenuous manual work under varying weather conditions, and (4) the ability to follow oral and written instruction\ns. (5)
A CDL is required with an acceptable driving record
