The principal of Wright Elementary School has resigned, according to a statement issued by Madison Parish Schools Superintendent Charlie Butler Jr..
Superintendent Butler said Principal Kimberly Pittman has stepped down from her position. The statement did not provide a reason for the resignation.
District officials said Mrs. Ski will serve as acting leader of the campus for the remainder of the school year. She will be supported by PK Supervisor Dr. Mack-Smith and K–12 Supervisor Ms. Lovette.
Butler said the district will continue operations at the school during the transition and asked staff to remain in communication with campus leadership.

I am writing to inform you that Principal Pittman has officially resigned from her position. While leadership transitions can bring uncertainty, I want to assure you that Wright Elementary and Madison Parish community will continue moving forward with strength, focus, and stability.
For the remainder of this school year, Mrs. Ski will serve as the acting leader of the campus, steering the ship and ensuring continuity in our day-to-day operations. She will be supported closely by our PK Supervisor, Dr. Mack-Smith, and our K–12 Supervisor, Ms. Lovette. This leadership team is fully committed to maintaining the progress and positive momentum you have worked so hard to build.
Please rest assured that we will not skip a beat in our support for you or for our students. I ask that you remain in close and direct communication with Mrs. Ski during this transition period.
As your superintendent, I will also be present and actively engaged on campus, walking the halls and supporting both staff and students at Wright Elementary as usual. You all give me my super powers.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our scholars and to one another.
Together, we will continue to move forward.
