Call to Order: Mayor Preston Walker.
Open with a Silent Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Mayor Preston Walker X, Councilwoman Margaret Leoty X,
Councilmen, Walter Cobb X, Curt Collins X. Clerk Gen Ellis X.
Guests: none
Open Discussion.
Motion to approve the Minutes from the previous meeting was made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty. Motion Carried.
Motion to approve the Financial Statements as paid for the month of June 2025 was made Councilwoman Margaret Leoty, seconded by Councilman Walter Cobb. Motion Carried.
Old Business:
Delinquent Sewer Bill collection discussion: Newspaper, Notice of Intent to Disconnect, and Door Hangers will be actively executed by the Village of Richmond by Motion made by Councilman Walter Cobb, seconded by Councilman Curt Collins. Motion Carried.
New Business:
Motion to change meeting date to the third (3) Wednesday of the month through the end of September, was made by Councilman Curt Collins, seconded by Councilman Walter Cobb. Motion Carried.
Motion to contract with Halford Firm for Engagement of services due to necessary change of Certified Public Accounts for the Village of Richmond, was made by Councilwoman Margaret Leoty, seconded by Councilman Curt Collins. Motion Carried
The NEXT regularly scheduled Board Meeting of the Mayor and Board of the Village of Richmond will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 5:30 P.M. at 598 Wood Street, Richmond, LA. 71282.
