The Madison High School Jaguars entered 2022 riding high on a 14-1 record and a No. 5 ranking in Class 2A, District 2, and as 2023 begins, the Jags are on track for even more success - coming into the year ranked first in 2A, D2 and sitting at 15-2 on the year, according to Maxpreps.com.
The Jaguars faced Bastrop on the road Tuesday in the last game before district contests begin in late January. The Jags fell by 2 Tuesday, in a 57-55 decision.
Upcoming games entering district play for the Jags include: Jan. 17 - versus General Trass at home; Jan. 24 - at home versus Ferriday; Jan. 27 - on the road versus Mangham; Jan. 31 - at home versus Rayville; Feb. 7 - versus Oak Grove at home; Feb. 10 - versus Vidalia at home; and Feb. 14 - at home versus Caldwell.
