A traffic accident on Interstate-20 in Madison Parish claimed the life of a Texas man this week.
According to information released by Louisiana State Police Troop F, 41-year-old Nathan Ribelin, of Fort Worth, was traveling eastbound on I-20 near milepost 182 in Delta shortly after 8 p.m. Monday when, for reasons still under investigation, his 2018 Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended a 1999 International 18-wheeler, which was stopped for traffic.
After impact, the 18-wheeler struck the rear of a 2008 Ford F-350 that was also stopped. Ribelin, who was properly restrained, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to State Police, a toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
