From Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office Marvin Ballett was arrested and is a suspected in a shooting at the Wyche Apartments. The alleged shooting occurred while the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office was investigating a homicide the scene. Ballett's arrest occurred Oct. 25.

Homicide at Wyche Apts. being investigated

On Oct. 24, the Madison Parish Sheriff’s office along with Louisiana State Police, and Tallulah Police Department was at 218 Thomas St, Wyche Apartments investigating a shooting incident that resulted in a homicide. While on scene, more shots were fired and one individual was struck in the lower leg. No arrests have been in the shooting.

Another suspect taken into custody for murder of Crye Jr. on September 21

The Madison Parish Sheriff's Office along with Tallulah Police Department took into custody Darrel Dewayne Hester who was allegedly involved in the death of Clayton Crye Jr. on September 21, 2024. Hester was taken into custody at a residence on Florida Street on the Louisiana State Police's warrant.

Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office officials have said other arrests and charges may be coming. Crye Jr. was fatally shot on Sept. 21. The shooting took place on the 1400 block of Florida Street in Tallulah.

Wesley arrested for murder of Crye Jr.

The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the US Marshal Service, Louisiana State Police and Tallulah Police Department arrested Armone Wesley for a homicide of Clayton Crye Jr., 20, that occurred on the 1400 block of Florida Street in Tallulah on September 21. Wesley was taken into custody after a brief standoff.
