Madison defeats Amite to advance

The Madison High School boys had not played a basketball game that meant something in two weeks, but that did not stop them from being ready for the first round of the LHSAA playoffs.
The Jaguars (22-8) hosted a first round game as the No. 5 seed and defeated No. 28 Amite 54-48.

How we depend on our cellular phones

When AT&T’s network went down at around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, I was one of many customers throughout the nation who lost his or her cellular phone service.
Most of the people who lost their service were AT&T customers. However, the problem extended to some Verizon and T-Mobile customers.
