Mr. Grier Martin, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense, Mr. Judd Lyons, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, and Sgt. Maj. Stephan Minyard, Senior Enlisted Advisor, all of the office of Manpower and Reserve Affairs, organized within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, tour the STARBASE facility at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, August 9, 2023. STARBASE’s mission is to expose our nation’s youth to the technological environments and positive civilian and military role models found on Active, Guard, and Reserve military bases and installations, nurture a winning network of collaborators, and build mutual loyalty within our communities, by providing 25 hours of exemplary hands-on instruction and activities that meet or exceed the national standards.
