Gators to face Bears on road

The Delhi Charter School Gators will look to extend its three-game win streak this week on the road in a conference matchup with the winless Block Bears.

The Gators sit at 6-1 on the season and are currently ranked first at 2-0 in Class 1A, District 4, while the Bears have limped to an 0-7,0-2 record.

Trojans, Eagles to face off to end season

The Tallulah Academy Trojans will celebrate Senior Night Friday, bringing the regular season to an end with a home conference matchup with the Porter's Chapel Eagles of Vicksburg.

The Trojans knocked off the Eagles twice in consecutive games to end the regular season and to begin playoff action in round 1 in 2021.

Hospital board says change in CEO won't impact timeline for opening new facility

Last week's termination of Madison Parish Hospital CEO Ted Topolewski by the MPH Board of Commissioners will not have any significant impact on the expected timeframe for opening the new hospital building that has been under construction for more than a year, MPH board members said this week.

Fire destroys city block; three businesses 'complete loss'

A blaze that broke out overnight in downtown Tallulah resulted in the "complete loss" of three businesses, according to Tallulah Fire Chief Harold Allen.

Allen said firefighters responded to the fire, which is believed to have originated inside Queen Nails, at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday.
