The Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is partnering with law enforcement agencies on Saturday, October 25 to collect and dispose of expired prescription medications at several locations across Northeast Louisiana, including the Tallulah Police Department.
Residents can drop off unused or expired medications at the Tallulah Police Department, located at 500 East Green Street. The initiative aims to reduce the risk of misuse and ensure that old medications are safely discarded.
Additional collection sites include the Monroe Behavioral Health Clinic, Monroe Police Department, ULM Police Department, Richwood Police Department, Jonesboro Police Department, Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Department, East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Department, and Grambling Police Department.
NEDHSA encourages anyone with unused medications to bring them to a designated drop-off box. The agency also provides 24-hour crisis services for mental health and addiction at 800-256-2522 and developmental disability services at 318-362-3396.
