The 27th Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards will be held Feb. 12-15, 2026, at the Marriott South Hobby Airport Hotel, 9100 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas.
Ricky Paul, originally from Tallulah, Louisiana, and now living in Hillsboro, Texas, has received two nominations. He is nominated in Category 1, Texas Male Soloist of the Year, and Category 9, Texas Inspirational Artist of the Year.
Voting is open through Sept. 30, 2025. Voters are required to select one nominee in each category for a ballot to be valid. Unlimited ballots may be cast each day. Voting is available at tgmea.org/vote-here.
Paul has been performing country gospel music for more than 30 years. He is the son of Wilbert and Florence Puckett, both deceased, and has family and friends in Tallulah and surrounding areas.
