Special Council Meeting
City of Tallulah
November 5, 2025
A special meeting of the Mayor and City Council was held on Tuesday, 5:30 P.M., in the Council Room Chamber of Tallulah City Hall.
Mayor Yvonne Lewis called the meeting to order, led the Pledge of Allegiance, and gave prayer.
A roll call of Councilmembers is listed as follows:

Day Present
Harris Present
Houston Present
Scott Present
Time was allowed for citizens to make comments or ask questions regarding items on the agenda, but there was none.
Councilmember Day moved for approval of A Resolution Authorizing Interim Mayor Yvonne Lewis to Sign Cooperative Endeavor Agreements with the State of Louisiana for Line-Item Appropriations from Act 461. Councilmember Scott seconded, and motion carried unanimously. The sum in question would be two state grants totaling $40,000 to be used for various needs of the City such as nine new Windows 11 computers.
Motion and second to approve introduction of An Ordinance to Approve the Municipal Budgets for the City of Tallulah for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, were made by Councilmembers Houston and Scott respectively and carried unanimously. Mayor Lewis announced that a public hearing would be held and suggested that it be on November 24, 2025.
Motion and second to that effect were made by Councilmembers Houston and Scott respectively and carried.
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned on motion and second of Councilmembers Houston and Harris respectively which carried unanimously.
