AdviseWell, Inc., a Louisiana non-profit whose mission is to improve the quality of healthcare through education and community outreach, has introduced the new 2023 Prevent Act, Report: Abuse and Neglect Training Program.
This proprietary, web-based training module, is used to educate nursing home staff on recognizing, preventing and reporting resident abuse and neglect. Developed in compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations, this on-demand, self-paced training program is easy-to-use, and provides surveyor ready reports, along with resources to assist nursing facilities with meeting federal and state compliance for abuse and neglect staff training and reporting.
“More than 100 nursing facilities throughout Louisiana have utilized our program for orientation of new staff and ongoing annual staff training over the last three years,” stated Sonja Landry, AdviseWell Executive Director. “This new education module provides even more value in maintaining a Nursing Facility’s place as a benchmark for quality and dedicated care.”
Operating in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia, AdviseWell has been a regional leader in community outreach and education for seniors and providers, successfully executing government contracts and a variety of grants for over 35 years with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Administration of Community Living, and other state stakeholders.
Nursing facilities that subscribe to the program also receive a “Best Practice Listing,” identifying the facilities through AdviseWell’s on-going digital and social media communications efforts.
