(May 19, 2025)—Average gasoline prices in Louisiana have risen 4.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.68/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,436 stations in Louisiana. Prices in Louisiana are 3.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 38.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Entergy is going to build a new natural gas-fired generating plant for Amazon’s Canton Data Centers. Where? Not in my backyard, say people with nice backyards. So Entergy plans to hide the plant where you can’t “smell it, hear it, or see it.” The data center capital of the world is Virginia.
