New Iberia, Jan. 14 - Ty Jones, Greyson Harrell, Cameron Fuller, and Remi Sauseda of Delhi Charter School team 8892X competed against 32 other teams in the Catholic High VRC tournament Sat., Jan. 14.
Along with their alliance partners 53073N from Northwest High, they were able to tear through the elimination matches to secure the Tournament Champions Award. Highlights from the tournament include a shutout in the semi finals, where DCS scored 208 to 17, the highest score of the day, as well as a nail-biting finals match against a Vinton high school alliance that ended with a score of 166 to 143.
The DCS robotics teams will next compete at their own tournament Sat., Jan. 28. The tournament will be hosted in Amber Hall on the DCS campus from 9:30 am. until 4 p.m., and will feature many of the top robotics teams in the state.
