Matthew “Matt” Benton Jobe

Matthew “Matt” Benton Jobe died suddenly from a brief illness Sat., Nov. 20, 2021, in Tallulah at the age of 31. He was born Aug. 10, 1990, in Monroe to Janette Adele Stockton Jobe and Clifton Ray Jobe Jr.
Matthew is preceded in death by his mother, Janette Adele Jobe, and his grandparents, Linda Weis and Thomas Stockton.
Matthew is survived by four children, Coralee A. Jobe, Colton R. Jobe, Gracie May Jobe and William T. Jobe; father, Clifton Ray Jobe Jr.; one sister, Tiffany A. Jobe; nieces and nephew, Alexis M. Peacock, Aaliyah J. Harvey, Aniyah J. Harvey and Austin R. Harvey; and grandparents, Peggy and Clifton Ray Jobe Sr., of Tallulah.
Matthew resided in Richmond, La. with his dad and sister.
Matthew was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the Afghanistan war, doing two tours and earning the Purple Heart.
Matt was loved by many and is remembered as a son, brother and friend with a heart of gold!
A memorial service for Matthew “Matt” Benton Jobe will be held Thurs., Dec. 2, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Tallulah, with Bro. Jay Parker officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 2, 2021, at Northeast Louisianan Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, La.
