The Northeast Delta Human Services Authority reported continued behavioral health and developmental disability services in Madison Parish and across northeastern Louisiana during the 2025 fiscal year.
According to the agency’s annual report, the Tallulah clinic at 1012 Johnson Street provided 946 total services between July 2024 and June 2025, including 526 billable and 420 nonbillable services. The clinic served 64 clients during the year.
Across the 12-parish region, NEDHSA delivered 23,325 total services to 1,582 clients. Roughly 63% of clients had Medicaid as a primary insurer. The agency’s programs included outpatient behavioral health, addiction recovery, developmental disabilities services, and prevention initiatives.
In Madison Parish, NEDHSA placed a Narcan distribution box to support opioid overdose prevention efforts. The authority hosted 203 Narcan training events across the region and distributed 3,521 kits and 2,509 fentanyl test strips during the fiscal year.
NEDHSA also oversaw 461 eligibility determinations for developmental disability services, including 447 approvals. Through the Individual and Family Support and Flexible Family Fund programs, the agency supported 478 individuals, including those from Madison Parish.
Executive Director Dr. Monteic A. Sizer said the authority continues to expand integrated behavioral and primary care and will open the R.I.S.E. Treatment Center in 2026 to serve pregnant women with substance use disorders and their children.
The report noted that 84% of adult clients in the region experienced improved functioning, and more than 97% said they would recommend NEDHSA services to others.
