MPSO, TPD urge safety during New Year holiday

The Madison Parish Sheriff Department would like to remind everyone to be as safe as possible on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Madison Parish Sheriff Sammie Byrd said residents should keep in mind that shooting a weapon is illegal and dangerous, and the holidays are not an exception to fire weapons into the air. The Madison Parish Sheriff Department and Tallulah Police Department will be out in full force to ensure safety of the citizens.

“We wish you a very happy New Year! We know that this past year has been full of challenges, and we hope that the coming year brings more certain times for your family,” Byrd said.
