Proposed Constitutional Amendments fail in Madison Parish, State of Louisiana

All four proposed Louisiana Constitutional Amendments did not receive support in the Madison Parish and failed in a statewide special election on Saturday.
The unofficial voter turnout in the Madison Parish was around 16.5%.

Possibly merging elementary schools discussed

Madison Parish School Board attorney Jon Guice spoke during the March 17 meeting about the possibility of consolidating Wright and Tallulah elementary schools in the future.
This came after a conference call with State Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley and a couple of other recovery school district representatives.

‘Love the Boot’ Week, April 5th-13th

On Saturday, April 6th, we will be hosting a community cleanup to show our love for Tallulah and take pride in our shared spaces. Registration will begin at 8:15 AM at Northeast Louisiana Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 117 McCall St., with cleanup starting promptly at 9:00 AM.

Amendments to be voted on Saturday

Local citizens in the Madison Parish have expressed opposition to four statewide amendments that will be voted on this Saturday, March 29.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
