MONROE—Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) has recently been designated as a Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) test provider in Louisiana. This is a significant development, considering there was previously only one out-of-state provider.

Gas, news prices for the week of February 19, 2024

(Mon., Feb. 19) — Average gasoline prices in Louisiana have risen 7.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.87/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 2,436 stations in Louisiana. Prices in Louisiana are 16.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 14.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Editor’s Note: Beth Buckner Shelton, a former Tallulah resident, wrote this in memory of Alice Lorraine Young, who died in 2003. Young was a resident of Tallulah for the vast majority of her life and a 1970s Madison Journal contributor. Young wrote “Alice’s Corner” on a weekly basis. Young was a friend of the Buckner family.
