Troy provides update on effort to support local restaurants

Madison Journal Publisher Josh Troy began his efforts to support local restaurants after Sonic in Tallulah closed.
Troy is encouraging everyone to eat at new fast food and sit-down restaurants in the Madison Parish each week. The purpose is to support local restaurants.

Public hearing to determine Butler's status

A public hearing with witnesses is expected to be held in the next 20 days to determine Dr. Charlie Butler’s status as the Madison Parish School District Superintendent.
Butler has been on administrative leave with pay since Nov. 7, 2024 while District Supervisor Lucille Lovette has been the acting superintendent ever since.
