The Nation's Weather for Monday, December 5, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A plume of moisture originating in the Pacific Ocean will
stretch into the Southeast states tomorrow, bringing rain
that may turn heavy at times. The highest chance for heavy
rain will be in the Tennessee Valley, where localized
flooding cannot be ruled out. However, with ongoing drought
conditions, any rain will be beneficial across this region.
Lighter rain showers will extend northward into portions of
the Midwest, and may mix with snow at times in Michigan. In
the Intermountain West, a large disturbance will continue
to bring snow to the Cascades, northern Sierras, and
northern Rockies. Closer to the coast, rain is likely in
the Pacific Northwest, with dry conditions returning in
Southern California.
