The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 20, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, the latest significant storm to affect the West is
expected to continue to produce an area of heavy rain along
a stalled front in Southern California, with flooding
concerns increasing through the day and rain reaching Las
Vegas and southwestern Utah as the day progresses. North of
there, snow showers and areas of steadier snow likely will
stretch across the high terrain from northwestern Colorado
through the Rockies into northern Idaho, with showers and
some high-elevation snowflakes also expected for Oregon,
western Washington state and much of Northern California.
Dry conditions are expected for most of the rest of the
country as several zones of high pressure promote calm
weather. Warmer air will continue to advance into the
central Plains, the Midwest and the mid-Atlantic.
