NATIONAL SUMMARY
Ophelia will bring locally flooding rainfall from
Pennsylvania through southern Vermont and New Hampshire
tomorrow. As the storm continues to circle nearby, it will
further lose wind intensity, but heavy rain will continue
to impact areas across southern New England into tomorrow
evening. A small area of spotty showers will exist over Ohio
as a storm system continues to trigger a zone of rain with
embedded afternoon thunderstorms from eastern North Dakota
through central Illinois. Another zone of spotty
thunderstorms will erupt from central Texas through western
Alabama. A storm system bringing an area of rain and drizzle
will arrive in the Northwest, with precipitation spreading
across western Washington and Oregon as well as Northwestern
California. Much of the rest of the West will be dry.
