The Nation's Weather for Saturday, February 5, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Much quieter weather is expected across most of the nation
in the wake of the recent winter storm tomorrow. However, a
system moving across portions of the northern Plains and
Great Lakes will blanket the region in snow from North
Dakota to northern Michigan. Meanwhile, a cold front will
spark a few showers that will dampen the Florida Peninsula.
Spotty rain or snow showers are forecast in central Montana.
Precipitation should fall in the form of snow farther south
in northwestern Wyoming, but little if any accumulation is
expected. A mostly sunny sky and slowly moderating
temperatures across the southern Plains and Tennessee Valley
will slowly begin to melt the snow and ice from this past
week's winter storm. Much colder air will move into the
Southeast.
