Nancy Mae Brasher Green died Mon., Dec. 21, 2020, at Legacy Nursing Home in Tallulah, due to a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1930, to John Wesley Brasher and Zera Wall Brasher.
Mrs. Green lived in Tallulah for the past 72 years, where she was employed as a telephone operator for 25 years until 1971, when she then became a homemaker and a den mother to the Cub Scouts of America. Mrs. Green was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tallulah for over 70 years.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 72 years, Muriel Green, of Tallulah; son, Steve (Charlotte) Green, of Tallulah; granddaughter, Nancy Elizabeth Green, of Beardstown, Ill. and two sisters-in-law, Bennie Brasher of Calhoun, La., and Rachael Brasher, of Marthasville, La.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Hurby Brasher, JW Brasher and Dwain Brasher; sisters, Hazel Brasher (Everett) Edwards and Juarline Brasher (Donald W.) Arender.
Left to cherish her memories are several nieces and nephews. She is deeply loved by close friends, Marcy Smith, of St. Joseph, La., Casey Smith Beckley, of Monroe, and Pam Bauser, of Beardstown, Ill.
A graveside service for Nancy Mae Brasher Green, 90, was held Sun., Dec. 27, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah for family and friends, with Stan Taylor officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
