President Rev. Oscar Hamilton called the Regular Board Meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Mr. Wilson to adopt agenda the board approved to adopt the agenda with the changes of moving item (l) Consider reconfiguration or consolidation of elementary schools for the2025-2026 school year after item (b) Approve the bills for payments and to delete item (j) Discussion of finances. Motion carried.

On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Rev.Fountain the board approved item (c) Consider reconfiguration or consolidation of elementary schools for the 2025-2026 school year. On motion of Rev.Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item (f) Approval of Mrs. Hazel Suluki and Ms. Candice Fountain to travel to Louisville, KY on July 14 -18, 2025 for the National Training Seminar. Motion carried.
On motion of Rev.Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item (g) Approval of the estimated May 2025 Sales Tax Supplement to be distributed on or before May 10, 2025. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Rev.Fountain the board approved item ( h) Consider the MOU partnership with Grambling State University. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Crawford and seconded by Mrs. Hargrave the board approved item ( i) Consider the Title VI Compliance Certification. Motion carried.
On motion of Rev.Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item (j). Consider the changed substitute pay chart. Motion carried.
On motion of Mrs. Hargrave and seconded by Ms. Hamilton the board approved item (k) Consider the finance firm Allen, Green, and Williamson. Motion carried.
The Superintendent’s Report included the following:
a. Personnel Report for April 22, 2025 (see table)
b. Academic Highlights – Acting Superintendent Lovette spoke about benchmark test at TES and WES and the highlights from MHS.
On motion of Rev. Fountain and seconded by Ms. Hamilton, the board voted to adjourn the meeting.
