A man wanted in connection with the alleged murder of his mother in Shreveport was apprehended Saturday, July 12, in Madison Parish after law enforcement received a tip from state police, according to the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office.
The Louisiana State Police notified the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office that Jacoby Page was traveling eastbound on I-20 in his mother’s truck. Page was wanted in connection with the alleged killing in Shreveport.
Sheriff Chad Ezell, along with deputies, positioned themselves at various points along the interstate. After the vehicle was spotted, it was stopped near Exit 171.
Jacoby Page was taken into custody without incident. He will be transported to Shreveport, where the case is being investigated by the Shreveport Police Department.
Sheriff Ezell said that he was "glad that the suspect was apprehended without any issues,” and added that he wanted “to thank the deputies for their work along with the Tallulah Police Department and Delta Marshals for their assistance.”
