Meeting Minutes
Chairperson Mrs. Shelly Crawford called the Finance/Insurance Committee meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The following is a roll call of Finance/Insurance Committee members.
District 2: Mrs. Shelly Crawford Present
District 4: Mrs. Kathy Gultery Present
District 5: Ms. Paula Hamilton Present
District 8: Margurite Hargrave Absent
Mrs. Deborah Finlay Present
Dr. Charlie Butler, Jr. Superintendent Absent
Mrs. Velvet Sims Present
Mrs. Sharon Bridgewater Present
On motion of Ms. Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Bridgewater to adopt the agenda Motion carried.
The committee discussed item (b)Discuss the Dolly Parton Imagination library. Fiscal administrator suggested a sponsor to help with the program.
The committee discussed item (c) Discuss a draft of the general fund budget revision. Fiscal administrator explained the budget revision.
The committee discussed item (d)Discuss update on reimbursement payments to the Child Nutrition Program. Fiscal administrator explained payment updates to the school food fund.
The committee discussed items (e) Discuss December Sales Tax pay-out to employees. Fiscal administrator explained that all employees had received their December sales tax supplement.
The committee discussed item (f) Discuss update on audit status. Fiscal administrator discussed 2023-2024 audit and explain it will be submitted by December 31, 2025. Mrs. Finlay also discussed 2024-2025 audit which is still being completed.
On motion of Ms. Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Crawford, the finance committee meeting was adjourned.
