Meeting Minutes
Chairperson Mrs. Sharon Bridgewater called the Finance/Insurance Committee meeting of the Madison Parish School Board to order at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Madison Parish Training Center (Board Meeting Room), 600 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana by asking for a moment of silent prayer. The audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The following is a roll call of Finance/Insurance Committee members.
District 1: Mr. Jeff Wilson Absent
District 3: Reverend Eddie Fountain Present
District 8: Margurite
Hargrave Absent
Dr. Charlie Butler, Jr.
Superintendent Present
Ms. Sherrie Lee Absent
Mrs. Sharon Bridgewater Present
Ms. Tillie Smith Present
On motion of Rev.Fountain and seconded by Superintendent Butler to adopt the agenda Motion carried.
The committee discussed item (b) Discussion of 1997 crossing guard contract Gerald Odom spoke on behalf of the City of Tallulah.
The committee discussed item (c) Discuss Crisis Prevention Training opportunity
The committee discussed item (d) Discuss stipend for Executive Secretary Commings
The committee combined items (e) Discuss spending / contract amounts that has to go before the school board for approval (f)Update on Federal and State grant requisitions (g) Update on cash flow needs for paying May monthly payroll (h) Timeline for determining the number of personnel reductions. The board discussed items with Allen Green & Williamson.
On motion of Superintendent Butler and seconded by Rev.Fountain, the finance committee meeting was adjourned.
