The Madison Middle School boys basketball team reached the championship game of the Junior High State Tournament held at the University of Louisiana Monroe, according to head coach Bryan Vaughn.
Madison Middle opened tournament play with a 38–19 win over Bastrop Junior High in the first round to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal round, Madison defeated Carroll Junior High 39–27 to earn a spot in the title game.

Madison faced Southfield Middle School of Shreveport in the championship game and won 46–36.
De’Antra Allen Jr. led Madison in the championship game with 30 points. Marshall Hamilton recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds during the final. Other team members who competed in the tournament included Troy Alexander, Fabian Williams, Melvin Russell, Alandis Harris, Ayden Barnes, E’Sean Perkins, Kaiden Cooper, Jaden Cooper, King James, and Ayden Truitt.
The team is coached by Vaughn, with Dennis Fountain serving as assistant coach.
