The Madison High School Jaguars boys basketball team stood at 17-0 as of Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, following an unbeaten run through the first half of the season.
Madison opened the season Nov. 18 with a 67-27 win against Vidalia and followed with a 67-22 win over Bastrop on Nov. 21. The Jaguars won two games in late November on the road and at home, defeating Tioga 53-47 on Nov. 24 and Buckeye 40-26 on Nov. 25.
In December, Madison beat Vidalia 63-38 on Dec. 2 and won at Tensas 73-37 on Dec. 3. The Jaguars followed with a 74-31 win over Block on Dec. 5 and a 61-38 road win against Ouachita Parish on Dec. 6. Madison continued with an 80-28 win over Tensas on Dec. 12 and a 67-46 road win at Block on Dec. 16.
The Jaguars closed the month with a stretch of wins that included a 76-37 victory over Vidalia on Dec. 19, a 72-14 win at General Trass on Dec. 20 and a 70-41 win at Rayville on Dec. 22. Madison added a 64-41 win against Carroll on Dec. 23, a 67-30 win over Delhi Charter on Dec. 26 and a 72-35 road win at Mangham on Dec. 29.
Madison opened January with a 59-58 tournament win at Sterlington on Jan. 7. Bryan Vaughn scored the game-winning free throw with 1.7 seconds remaining to lift the Jaguars to the victory.
Through 17 games, Madison has scored 1,125 points and allowed 596. The Jaguars are averaging 66.2 points per game and have held opponents to 35.1.
Madison is scheduled to host Lincoln Prep on Jan. 13 before beginning district play later in the month. Upcoming district games include road contests at Ferriday on Jan. 23 and Beekman Charter on Feb. 3, along with home games against Mangham on Jan. 27, Oak Grove on Jan. 30, Rayville on Feb. 6 and Ferriday on Feb. 17.
Madison will also play road games at Ouachita Christian on Feb. 10, Bastrop on Feb. 12 and Delhi Charter on Feb. 13 as the regular season continues.
