The Tallulah Academy Trojans took care of business during homecoming Friday night, knocking off the Prentiss Christian Saints 30-20.
TA quarterback Hayes Hopkins found the end zone twice on the ground and hooked up with Cade Morgan twice through the air for touchdowns during Friday's win.
Hopkins broke a 6-6 tie with a rushing touchdown early in the second quarter and the Trojans would not give up the lead for the rest of the game.
Early in the third quarter, TA running back Brayson Morson returned a kickoff nearly the length of the field, only to have it called back. Morson saw a second long touchdown called back for a block in the back later in the second half, but Hopkins capped off a long drive with a QB keeper to put the Trojans up 18-6 with 2 minutes left in the third quarter.
Hopkins found Morgan twice for touchdowns through the air, both from 40 yards out, in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans gave up a late score to the Saints, but it wouldn't be enough to catch TA, as the home team improved to 5-4 on the year.
