A total of 13 area players, with three appearing twice, have been named to this year’s Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) All-District team for Class 2A, District 2.
For the Madison High School Jaguars, senior running back Corey Moore was named to the First Team, All-District list on offense, while sophomore lineman Logan Hughes was named to the First-Team, All-District list on defense. Senior running back Jiquan Davis and senior wide receiver Kaylin Brooks were named to the Second-Team, All-District list on offense, while junior defensive back Jeremiah Marshall and Brooks (as a linebacker) made the Second-Team, All-District list on defense.
For the Delhi Charter School Gators, junior tight end Merritt Coenen and senior lineman Joseph Beasley made the First-Team, All-District list on offense, while junior defensive back Chad Clark and senior linebacker Reid Arledge made the First-Team, All-District list on defense. Arledge also made the list for First-Team, All-District on special teams as a punter.
DCS also saw freshman running back Keidron Thomas and sophomore running back Deandre Young, along with senior lineman Brady Senn and Clark (as an athlete) make the list for Second-Team, All-District on offense. The Gators’ senior defensive back Antonio Williams made the Second-Team, All-District list on defense.
