The Madison High School Jaguars will play host to two teams Friday in Tallulah ahead of the official start of the 2023 season.
MHS will host the Ferriday Trojans and the Bastrop Rams in a jamboree game Friday at 6 p.m. at Madison High School, located at 1234 Madison High Drive in Tallulah.
The 2023 season marks the return of MHS Head Coach Levi Washington Jr. for his second stint along the MHS sidelines. In 2022, the Jags finished 3-7 overall and 0-6 in district play. Ferriday defeated the Jaguars 34-12 last season, while Bastrop and MHS did not meet on the gridiron.
Friday's game will have a $7 admission at the gate. The Jags will officially kick off the 2023 season Fri., Aug. 31, at Lincoln Prep in Grambling in an away, non-conference game.
