The Madison High School Jaguars ended an impressive regular season Fri., Feb. 11, with a 51-44 road win over the Vidalia Vikings that left MHS with a final record of 25-2 and makes the Jags the number 4 seed headed into the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) playoffs this week.
Although the playoffs will begin Friday, MHS Head Coach John Holmes said his team hasn't yet learned who they will face in round one, nor do they know where they will play, adding that information could be released any time.
The Jaguars capped off its stellar regular season with a second straight win over the Vikings, this time in Vidalia, with junior Tayshaun Dykes leading the way on offense.
Dykes finished the game with 18 total points. He was followed closely by senior Corey Moore, who finished with 13 points on the game. Junior Jeremiah Marshall tallied 7 points in the win; senior Kelyn Brooks finished with 5 points; senior Ahmad Moore scored 4.
